Ode To Eaters

In cafe, pub and restaurant bar
It really is a must
To observe your fellow diners
As they set about their crust

Some gourmets they prefer a fork
While others choose a spoon
Many think a knife's the man
To eviscerate a prune

Table d'hote? a la carte?
It really doesn't matter
Oh! what a sad palaver
To make yourself get fatter

So if your belly rumbles
Please accept this tip
It's all a bloody rip-off
Nuff said..... toodle-pip
