POETRY & My Cat Pat

I'D LIKE TO WRITE SOME POETRY
BUT I JUST CAN'T RHYME
I COULD TRY TO FIND SOME WORDS
BUT THAT WOULD TAKE TIME
PUTTING WORDS TOGETHER
TO ME IS SUCH A CHORE
A POET IS A FRIEND OF MINE
AND HE'S AN AWFUL BORE
I WILL LEAVE THE POETRY
TO THOSE THAT DO IT BEST
I NEED TO GO TO BED RIGHT NOW
AND GET SOME NEEDED REST.

i have a cat
and his name is pat
pat once saw a rat
how do you like that
pat chased the rat
into a laundramat
then my cat pat just sat
and stared at the
at the frigtened rat
pat chased the rat
back into the house
the rat was so terrified
it looked just like a mouse
pat caught the rat
and took the rat outside
i shut the door behind them
that i had opened wide.
